Fuck you, Lending Tree, Fuck you

I should have looked at the online reviews.  Oh why oh why didn’t I look at the online reviews?

My credit score from Equifax last May was 780.  Since then I paid the interest off on my student loans.  I wanted to finance a used car for $8000.  I thought there would be no problems with my wicked good score.   (My rehire at my job was delayed, so it turns out there were problems with my income status, but that’s not the point.)

I submitted my request for quotes Friday afternoon.  My account info said something along the lines of “We are in the process of finding you lenders.  This may take up to 48 hours.”

Monday.  Same status.  Tuesday.  Same status.  Meanwhile, my dealership is calling and harassing me everyday.  Wednesday.  Same status.  I write to them to the email listed on their contact page.

Dear Lending Tree,

I submitted a request for loan rates for a used auto on Friday the 9th.  It’s now Wednesday, the 14th.  If you can’t find any places that will finance a 2002 with low mileage, I’d prefer that you tell me quickly so I can take my business elsewhere.  I have excellent credit; an $8000 loan should be low risk.

I just spoke with my manager at work (I worked with him for 2 years, took time off, and have just been rehired) and no one has called him to confirm employment.  If you need the corporate office number for CVS please tell me.  Don’t leave me in the dark; my car is waiting for me at the dealer.

An unsatisfied customer,

Candice Hall

Within 24 hours I get a response from Gmail’s Delivery Subsystem

Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed:

Two days later and the Mail Delivery Subsystem tells me that “Delivery to the following recipient failed permanently.”

I deleted my account with them after the first email failure.

I haven’t checked my credit report, but I bet there’s a bunch of inquiries (lowering my score) that were not fruitful at all.

So fuck you, Lending Tree, fuck you.  Highly not recommended.
